Another year gone by...

Another Year gone by….

It’s that time of the year again and while we all look ahead in anticipation, its also important to look back in reflection.

How am I different today than I was at the start of the previous year?

What have I learnt or have I learnt anything?

It’s been a long year with a lot of changes- personal and professional. Some of these were the result of a change in thinking and values while other spawned changes in values and thinking.

Primary themes that I have carried out from the year gone by:

  1. The need and value for appreciating all that we have, even if it is not much, as there are millions who do not have even this much. To be grateful and not selectively so. To trust. To know that All is Good because All is God.
  2. The need for doing what we want to do and immediately. Life is uncertain and all we ever get is Today.
  3. The importance of stepping out beyond the convenience of our comfort zones and experimenting and being willing to take risks. The importance of setting out on a quest of self-discovery because at the start and at the end we all are all alone. No one can make the journey for us.
  4. To find Joy in the nooks and crannies of our daily lives. And, lastly, to laugh more and laugh often and to remember that only Man has the capacity for laughter. It’s a privilege that’s been given to us and one that we need to exercise more.
